ComicsForHire.com Member Agreement

By agreeing to be a listed member of ComicsForHire.com, a website owned and operated by DC Comedy, LLC, and thereby having my information hosted on the ComicsForHire.com website, I am also agreeing that I understand that ComicsForHire.com is a hosted billboard of talent searchable by the entertainment industry and general public.

Application Process

I understand and agree that application for membership to ComicsForHire.com is merely consideration for membership and is not a guarantee of to be a listed member on the ComicsForHire.com website. I further agree and acknowledge that any materials submitted to ComicForHire.com for the application process will not be returned to me.

Once You Become a Listed Member

Agreement to Pay Associated Fees

I understand and agree that, I or if I have an exclusive agent or lawyer, ComicsForHire.com will, if it is contacted with regard to me and I have advised ComicsForHire.com of the identity of my agent or lawyer, contact that representative with respect to any offers made to me through industry professionals having seen my portfolio on ComicsForHire.com. I agree to pay the specified amount of pre-purchased lead points to obtain the contact information for that specific booking. I agree to pay ongoing hosting fees (as applicable) and, if paying by Paypal, understand that my Paypal account will be billed for my selected membership fee and hosting fees (as applicable), and will be automatically billed for renewal of my membership at the then-current membership price corresponding to my membership level unless I contact ComicsForHire.com five days prior to the expiration of my membership to notify ComicsForHire.com that I do not wish to renew.

Agreement to Neither Spam nor Resell Contact Information supplied by ComicsForHire.com

I understand and agree that neither I, nor my agent or lawyer, may use, reproduce, or sell the contact information supplied to me by Comicsforhire.com for any other purpose other than booking the event detailed in the supplied individual lead. I also agree that I, nor my agent or lawyer, will in no way send or distribute unsolicited email to any address supplied to me by ComicsForHire.com.

Notification of Changes of Fees and Member Agreement

Any changes to fees or billing methods will be notified to me by my supplied email and their appearance in the current updated membership agreement hosted on the ComicsForHire.com website, which I agree to review from time to time.

I understand that the disclaimers in this agreement may be unilaterally amended and/or modified at any time by ComicsForHire.com, and that any such changes will appear on the ComicsForHire.com website and be notified to members by way of the News section, which I agree to review from time to time) and will become effective as of the date of that online appearance.

Use of Materials

I represent that the information provided to ComicsForHire.com is, to the best of my knowledge, true. I represent that I am the owner of all my portfolio materials (including photographs and, where applicable, my video demo reel) or that I have the authorization to copy, modify, perform publicly, perform digitally and distribute these materials, and I grant ComicsForHire.com the ongoing right to modify, distribute, and administer my ComicsForHire.com portfolio in any manner. I agree that ComicsForHire.com may refuse to host, or may change or remove my portfolio materials and/or any text it considers unsuitable or inappropriate for its website, at its sole discretion. I understand that I will not receive back any materials provided to ComicsForHire.com. I agree that any changes I wish to have ComicsForHire.com staff make to my online portfolio may be charged a fee for each change session, excluding changes to my video demo reel hosting which will require payment of then-current complete initial video hosting fee. I agree to release, defend, indemnify and hold ComicsForHire.com, its affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, employees, contractors, officers, directors, ISPs and content providers harmless from any errors in my registration and/or portfolio materials, from any liability incurred through the use by ComicsForHire.com of my information, photographs and (where applicable) video demo reel content, and from any other claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of any kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with my ComicsForHire.com membership.

I understand that ComicsForHire.com makes no representations and/or warranties and cannot guarantee that I will be offered any work through being a member of, and having my portfolio hosted on, ComicsForHire.com. Further, I understand that ComicsForHire.com makes no representations and/or warranties and is not liable in any way with regard to any work I am offered or perform arising out of my ComicsForHire.com membership (including with regard to payment for that work), and I agree to release and indemnify ComicsForHire.com, its affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, employees, contractors, officers, directors, ISPs and content providers and hold them harmless from any and all claims with respect to any such work. Moreover, I agree that ComicsForHire.com, its affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, employees, contractors, officers, directors, ISPs and content providers will not be liable for lost profits or any special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with my ComicsForHire.com membership and any possible work arising from my membership (however arising) including through negligence.

I understand and agree that the ComicsForHire.com website is provided "as is," and that ComicsForHire.com, its affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, employees, contractors, officers, directors, ISPs and content providers cannot be held in any way liable for any website or database technological problems, downtime due to maintenance, and/or malicious third party website (or data) misuse. I agree to keep my portfolio password secret, and will not hold ComicsForHire.com responsible for any actions taken by third parties using my password to access my portfolio on the website. I agree, without further payment to me, to allow ComicsForHire.com in its sole discretion to refer to my ComicsForHire.com membership in its promotions, and to any instances of success in my finding or receiving work as a result of my membership in ComicsForHire.com.

I am 18 years of age or older, or have received approval from my parent or guardian to become a member of ComicsForHire.com and to pay the applicable membership fees. In the latter case, my parent or guardian will authorize this online registration form approving my membership on the terms of this agreement.
